Be the 2019 「내가 한국바로알리기의 주인공」

The Center for International Affairs in the Academy of Korean Studies(CEFIA AKS) is hosting the Understanding Korea Essay Contest. The institution is conducting the Understanding Korea Project (한국바로알리기사업) for the purpose of upgrading and enlarging the Korea related contents presented in foreign text books. The AKS invites 2019 내가 한국바로알리기의 주인공 essays for improving the images of Korea abroad and raising awareness of the understanding Korea materials.

○ Themes (Optional)

1) Image of Korea from the international Point of View (외국에서 보는 한국 이미지)

    - Images of Korea in foreign instructional materials(foreign textbooks, internet sites, etc.)

    - Proposals on how to improve the image of Korea abroad

2) Application of the Understanding Korea Materials (한국 이해자료 활용)

    – Review of applying the understanding Korea materials, and ideas for developing them

○ Eligibility : Foreigners, Korean nationals abroad

○ Language / Length : Korean or English / more or less 3 pages

○ Due to : Wednesday, 31 July, 2019

○ Awards : Grand Prize (2 winners), Excellence Prize (4 winners), Participation Prize (6winners)

* The essays of last winners can be read through the homepage

* The submitted materials are not returned back and the copyright belongs to the hosting organization

* The theme is optional but you can apply twice with theme 1) and 2)

* Taxes and public utilities’ charge will be imposed on benefits

* The gifts are given to 100 participants
