1. General Requirements
- No disqualifications under the Private School Act and Dongguk University’s faculty appointment regulations.
- Possession of a doctoral degree in the relevant field (including those expected to obtain the degree by February 28, 2026).
- Understanding and willingness to participate in the Buddhist principles that underpin the university's founding philosophy.
- In accordance with Article 4-3 of the Decree on the Appointment of Educational Officials, applicants with a bachelor's degree from certain universities may be restricted from applying to specific departments.

A: No. They are only recognized in the fields of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Arts/Physical Education. They are not recognized in STEM fields.
Q3. Are SCOPUS journals accepted?
A: Only in the field of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Arts/Physical Education. SCOPUS journals are not accepted in STEM fields.
Q4. Are not-yet-published papers accepted?
A: Yes, if a DOI has been assigned by September 30, 2025. Papers scheduled for publication between October 2025 and February 2026 may be accepted upon review by the committee.
Q5. Are any documents required in addition to online submission?
A: No. All academic and career documents must be uploaded to the online system.
Q6. Are conference papers recognized?
A: No. Conference papers are not recognized.
Q7. Are scholarly books accepted?
A: No, scholarly books are not recognized in any field.
